John grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and has practiced law here for the past 20 years. John's primary focus is civil litigation and he represents clients in state and federal courts throught Mississippi. He also has litigated cases in courts in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, California, New York and Pennsylvania. In addition to litigation, John advises clients in contract negotiations and business transactions, regarding insurance coverage issues, in federal and state regulatory and administrative proceedings, in professional licensing matters, on zoning and land use issues and corporate and partnership matters, as well as many other similar and related issues. John's litigation and trial experience is extensive. He has represented clients in a wide variety of cases, including in contract and commercial transaction disputes, employment matters, real estate and land use, intellectual property rights, sales and leases, commerical and residential construction, insurance coverage and antitrust and other complex litigation matters. John also has a vast amount of experience defending products liability, personal injury, wrongful death and mass tort claims in state, federal and multi-district courts. He has represented clients in bankruptcy and class action litigation and has substantial mediation and arbitration experience. He regularly appears before various state and local government agencies in a variety of administrative and regulatory matters.
